BEES on Friday attacked three primary school children, Agya Musah, 7, Yaw Azumah, 8 and a third one, only known as Atampo, 10, at Kwadwofourbehu, a village near Kwapong in the Asunafo South District of the Brong Ahafo Region when they went to a stream to fetch water for domestic chores. The attack resulted in the death of Yaw Azumah.
The three were rushed to Kwapong Health Centre for treatment but Yaw was later referred to Kukuom District Hospital where he was pronounced dead while receiving further treatment.
The body has since been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Father of Yaw, Azumah Kombo, 33, a farmer reported the incident to the Kwapong Police.
Regional police spokesman, Chief Inspector Augustine Oppong confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE in an interview.
