AFCON: Nigeria beat Tunisia in third-place

The African Cup of Nations, AFCON, has seen Nigeria beat Tunisia in the third-place play-off with an only goal scored by Odion Ighalo.

Top scorer of the tournament with five goals, Odion Ighalo, tapped in after keeper Moez Ben Cherifia deflected the ball off his own defender Yassine Meriah.

Nigeria, three-time winners, have now finished third eight times winning all seven third-place play-offs they have ever played in.

Senegal will look for their first AFCON title when they face 1990 winners face Algeria in Friday’s final.
