The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Tuesday launched the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre’s (MASLOC) Integrated ICT System to enhance transparency and accountability in the disbursement and recovery of loans.

This forms part of innovation and IT solutions in line with President Akufo-Addo’s vision to digitalize as much of government machinery as possible and all aspects of the economy making Ghana the most business-friendly country in Africa.

Mahamudu Bawumia explained that the Integrated ICT System, MASLOC is poised to effectively deliver on its objective of providing funds to SMEs, especially the unbanked customers who form a greater percentage of the informal sector of the economy.

Further, the organization would position itself for the next world order of service delivery.

The Vice President charged MASLOC to consider this initiative as a call to duty to help micro-businesses and budding entrepreneurs to get the necessary start-up.
