Regent University College Ranked Best Private University in Ghana

Regent University College of Science and Technology has been ranked the best private University in Ghana in the July 2020 edition of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities.

Regent is ranked 7th University overall in Ghana in the same edition of the bi-annual ranking. Regent climbed to 1st place from its previous 2nd position among private universities in Ghana, in the current edition of the ranking.

Regent University College of Science and Technology since its inception in 2005, has uniquely defined its domain of advancing science, engineering, technology and business education to meet the growing industry needs. Regent’s mission is to raise highly skillful, visionary, God-fearing, ethical and passionate leaders to function as change agents in their various locations and spheres of life.

Established in 2004, Webometrics is an academic ranking platform of Higher Education Institutions, offering bi-annual, independent, objective, open and scientific exercise of the performance of universities from all over the world.

The Webometrics Ranking measures institutions according to four metrics: namely; presence (public knowledge shared), visibility (web contents impact), transparency (top cited researchers) and excellence (top cited papers).

The latest ranking among other things, demonstrates the increasing contributions that private universities are making towards knowledge sharing on the African continent.
