Special voting underway at Kadjebi

A total of 1,885 eligible voters are expected to cast their ballot in the special voting exercise underway at Kadjebi in the Oti Region.
 
The exercise commenced at 0700hours and total of 1,885 eligible voters are expected to cast their votes, however as at 0905hrs only 40 people casted their ballot.
 
Political party agents from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Independent candidate parties were present at the time when the GNA visited the polling station.
 
There was security presence at the Voting centre led by Supt. Michael Asiedu, the District Police Commander.
 
Mr Justice Odame-Frimpong, Kadjebi District Electoral Officer, said coronavirus pandemic safety protocols and social distancing were being practiced religiously and expects the exercise to be incident-free.
