Most Reverend Philip Naameh, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tamale, at the weekend urged Christians to contribute to a peaceful country to enhance development.
He said it was important Christians avoided unnecessary arguments that could create religious acrimony and pursued matters of peace, progress and national cohesion.
Most Reverend Naameh said these during the 75th-anniversary symposium of OLA Cathedral Parish in Tamale.
The event was on the Theme: “For we walk by faith, not by sight. 75 years of catholic impact in Dagbon, the way forward.”
He urged Christians to reach out to the most excluded and create social unity by strengthening the capacity of the poor in society and advised them to build their faith in Jesus and renew the same faith with the word of God every day for quality transformation.
The Archbishop urged Christians to appreciate God’s directions by accepting to abide by the rules of truth and faith.
“You will build your faith as you constantly remind yourself of who you are in Christ and choose to believe what God says about you,” he added.
He said: “Your faith will grow as you continue to agree with God and put His words on your lips, His words are living and active, be assured that it will accomplish that for which God sent it.”
Most Reverend Naameh called on Christians to recognise, confess and speak the word of God with faith.
