Transparency, accountability, and law enforcement are inextricably linked – The US Ambassador informs Dame

According to Virginia E. Palmer, the United States Ambassador to Ghana, transparency, accountability, and law enforcement go hand in hand.

She stated that the United States and Ghana are collaborating to combat corruption and ensure that democracy works.

She stated this during a recent meeting with Minister of Justice and Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame to discuss how the two countries can collaborate to ensure justice for all.

The Embassy stated in a tweet, “Transparency, accountability, and law enforcement go hand in hand.” The United States and Ghana are collaborating to combat corruption and ensure that democracy works. Ambassador Palmer met with @AttorneyGhana recently to discuss how we can collaborate to ensure justice for all.”

The Embassy earlier said also that that transparency in Ghana’s judicial system is critical for the country’s long-term stability.

To that end, it said said in a tweet that The U.S. government through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) supports public agencies and civil society to roll out initiatives which strengthen accountability in the judiciary.
