Jude Bellingham is likely to make his Real Madrid debut when the club takes on arch-rivals Barcelona on a pre-season tour in the United States later this month.

The midfielder arrived at the club’s training site for the first time on Monday after joining from Borussia Dortmund in an £88 million ($110 million) deal.

The 19-year-old missed England’s Euro 2024 qualifying matches earlier this summer due to a knee injury sustained last season. Despite his assurances to Marca that he is “ready to play” and that his knee is “excellent,” he may have to wait to make his debut for the club.

Bellingham will fly to the United States with his teammates later this month to begin their pre-season tour, but he is anticipated to miss the first two games against AC Milan and Manchester United. Instead, AS says he will make his debut against Barcelona on July 29 in Dallas.
