Joao Palhinha is on his way to Bayern Munich! The Portuguese star will play with Harry Kane at Allianz Arena when Fulham agrees to a €46 million deal; Vincent Kompany’s top target has already scheduled a physical.

Date:

Fulham has agreed to pay €46 million (£38 million/$48 million) for Joao Palhinha, who is expected to join Harry Kane at Bayern Munich.

The Portuguese midfielder will compete in the Bundesliga next season, according to Sky Sports Germany, since the Bavarians were able to reach an agreement with Fulham following protracted talks. Palhinha is anticipated to have his medical check following the European Championship to make sure all the procedures are finished before he travels to Germany to join his new teammates.

Palhinha has been adamant about wanting to move to Bayern during the negotiating process. He recently said during a news conference that both clubs know where he wants to go. He will sign a contract that expires in 2028, having previously consented to personal conditions with his prospective new employers.

Fulham’s firm stance on Palhinha’s valuation of £60m ($76m) has been a major talking point in this transfer saga. Despite Bayern’s repeated attempts to lower the transfer fee, Fulham held out for the figure. Nonetheless, the final agreement at €45m plus add-ons reflects a compromise on the part of the Cottagers as the player remains adamant to leave Craven Cottage for a fresh challenge.

The reported agreement between Bayern and Fulham for Palhinha marks the end of a prolonged transfer saga. With his future allegedly sorted, the midfielder can keep his focus entirely on the European Championship where Portugal will lock horns with France in the last eight on Friday evening for a place in the semi-finals.
