Mohammed Kudus reaches new EPL milestone during Crystal Palace clash

Date:

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus has reached 50 appearances in the English Premier League halfway into his second season at West Ham United.

The 24-year-old reached the new milestone after starting the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday. A match the Hammers lost at home following a second half brace from Frenchman Jean Philippe Mateta.

Kudus, who joined the London club in the summer of 2023, made 33 Premier League appearances in his first season, scoring eight goals and delivering six assists.

This season, the former Ajax star has played 17 games, scoring three goals and adding an assist in the English topflight.

He could have reached his latest mark earlier but missed five matches this season after serving a suspension for his red card in the game against Tottenham Hotspurs back in October.

Despite a tough season for the Hammers, the Ghanaian midfielder remains a target for the big clubs in England with Liverpool and Manchester City reportedly linked with Kudus.

The Right to Dream Academy graduate has become a key figure for the London club  since moving to England.
