Coach Barreto handed a two-match ban and a hefty fine

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has imposed a two-match ban on Head Coach of Asante Kotoko Mariano Barreto for acts of misconduct.

In addition to the ban, the Portuguese would also pay a fine of GHS3,000.

Coach Barreto after a league game against Legon Cities made allegations of bias against the referees without any proof.

The sanctions were in accordance with Article 6.1 (1) and 6(2) (a) of the GFA Disciplinary Code.

He has been warned by the Committee that any future misconduct shall receive stiffer punishments.
