The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has dispatched thousands of testing kits, personal protective equipment and prescription tables (Chloroquine and Azithromycin) to all 15 Members States in an effort to complement efforts by Member States to fight the novel coronavirus in the sub-region.
This was contained in a communiqué issued by the ECOWAS Commission on April 6, 2020. The Commission also reaffirmed its solidarity with Member States and welcomed the steps taken so far to prevent the spread of the virus.
