Gerald Asamoah flies over 40 heart specialists to perform surgeries for kids in Ghana.

Former German footballer of Ghanaian descent, Gerald Asamoah, has brought a team of heart specialists and nurses to Ghana to provide life-saving heart surgeries for children in need.

Through his organization, the Gerald Asamoah Heart Foundation, he coordinated the arrival of 40 medical professionals for the 2024 edition of his annual pediatric heart surgery initiative

This marks the second year of the foundation’s program, following the inaugural event in November 2023, where Asamoah sponsored surgeries for twenty children.

The upcoming surgeries are scheduled to take place at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC), in collaboration with its Cardiothoracic Department.

The Gerald Asamoah Heart Foundation is dedicated to supporting Ghanaian children diagnosed with heart conditions, providing them with essential treatment and care.

The beneficiaries for this year’s program have already been chosen.
