ICGC, Holy Ghost Temple donates street lights to Adenta

Date:

The International Central Gospel Church, Holy Ghost Temple at Adenta-Frafraha on Saturday donated 55 street lights poles and accessories to the Adentan Municipal Assembly towards ensuring the safety of residents especially at night.

Reverend Mrs Felicia Annor, the wife of the Senior Pastor, Prophet Christopher Yaw Annor on behalf of the Church, presented the 55 street lights, which came with their corresponding metal poles all at the cost value of GHC 250,000.00.

Mrs Annor said the donation was the third major activity of the Holy Ghost Temple in the year and that the Church was committed to contributing its quota to the advancement of the Adenta-Frafraha community.

She said earlier this year, the Church contributed to the speech and prize giving event of the Frafraha Community Senior High School and also refurbished the Frafraha Health Centre. She said the Church would continue to be a development partner to the assembly to improve the lives of residents.

“We have been called to be light of the world. We are not just spiritual light but we want to bring light to the communities we find ourselves in,” Mrs Annor said.

Receiving the donation on the Assembly, Mr Daniel Alexander Nii-Noi Adumuah, the Adentan Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), commended the Church for being a true light to the world.

He said the assembly recognises the donation as a significant one because the Church understands the physical needs of the community aside the immense spiritual contribution.

Mr Nii-Noi Adumuah said the Church came as a corporate entity to play her corporate responsibility role to community, something worth emulating by other churches in the community. He said if the over 200 churches in the Municipality would give their widows mite, it would have served the community well in the long run.

The MCE said the donation did not only show responsibility and concern for the community but also displayed the bond of love between the church and the community.

He said the lights will be installed as agreed with the church to install them on the road from ‘Sawn Mill Junction’ off the the Adenta-Dodowa Road to the Junction of the Catholic Church.

He said initial site visits will begin to commence work on installing the lights on selected dark spots intersections in the agreed areas.
