Mahama urges for unity before the NDC’s primaries on May 13

Date:

John Dramani Mahama, a former president of Ghana, has once again urged party members to come together ahead of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries.

On Saturday, May 13, the opposition NDC is anticipated to hold its presidential and parliamentary elections. These elections will choose parliamentary candidates and a flagbearer to run as the party’s candidate in the general elections of 2024.

As part of his campaign trip of the Northern Region, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, who is running for re-election on the NDC ticket, made these remarks at Bimbilla.

Everyone has their followers, so there’s no point in claiming that one of them backed the victorious team, therefore we’ll keep quiet. Let’s support one another after the primaries because we are all NDC,” John Mahama advised.

John Mahama who is a one-term former president is seeking to return to power after he was defeated by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2016 and 2020 general elections.
