Meta (META.O), which opened a new tab on Tuesday, defended its risk mitigation procedure after the European Commission began an inquiry into Facebook and Instagram for failing to combat misleading advertising and misinformation ahead of the European Parliament elections.
“We have a well-defined approach for detecting and managing risks on our platforms. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the European Commission and providing them with further information on this effort,” a Meta representative said.
