President John Dramani Mahama’s X (formerly Twitter) account has been restored.
A statement issued by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), copied to the Ghana News Agency said in the early hours of Monday, March 17, the CSA received a report concerning the compromise of the President’s X (formerly Twitter) account; @JDMahama.
It noted that the account had been used to promote a cryptocurrency called “Solana Africa”.
“We understand the public concern this incident has generated and are actively addressing the situation,” the statement said.
“The Authority is working closely with X and other relevant stakeholders to address this incident and to prevent future occurrences.”
The statement said the CSA would provide further updates as the investigation progresses.
