Three females have submitted their application for the Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive position in the Bono Region, Mr Mohammed Asoma, the Wenchi Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bono Regio has said.
They are among the 10 applicants who are vying for the positions, he told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview at Wenchi, saying, the applicants included Assembly Members, some NDC constituency executives and a member of the council of elders of the party in the area.
Mr Asoma explained that all the applicants qualified for the position, saying they would soon go through the regional vetting process, underway at the Sunyani residency.
He urged the applicants and their followers to remain calm assuring that the vetting process would be conducted devoid of biases and urged them to support any of the applicants who would be picked for the position in the supreme interest of the party.
