U-20 WWCQ: Black Princesses are off to Ethiopia for a game

Date:

The Black Princesses of Ghana have left for Addis Ababa ahead of their final U-20 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.

Ben Forkuo’s ladies departed the country on Friday, March 11, 2022.

The Princesses booked a place in the last stage of the qualifiers with a 7-1-win aggregate over Uganda.

The travelling team consists of 22 players plus coaching staff for the crucial first-leg qualifying game against Ethiopia’s U-20 side.

The travelling party did not have the likes of Evelyn Badu and Perpetual Agyekum, who are out of Ben Fokuo’s team because of their recent move to the Norwegian side, Avaldsnes.

Despite the absence of Evelyn Badu and Perpetual Agyekum, Ben Fokuo can rely on Hasaacas Ladies Doris Boaduwaa and Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah of Ampem Darkoa Ladies.

The first leg of the game will be played on Sunday, March 13, 2022, in Addis Ababa, before the return leg will be played three days later in Ghana.

The winner over the two legs will represent the continent in August 2022 when the World Cup is hosted in Costa Rica.
