The Ghana Statistical Service has informed the public that the Service has not engaged any person or institution to recruit or update the records of any applicant for this year’s population Census.
The service has advised all applicants for jobs in the 2020 Population and Housing Census that the service did not operate a Mobile Money account and did not charge any processing fee for recruitment.
A statement from GSS and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra urged the public to beware of fraudsters who called or texted messages demanding money for recruiting or training of census field workers.
“We entreat all applicants for the census exercise to cross check any information they receive in respect of recruitment for the Census”, the statement added.
