Mr Eric Adjei, the Deputy Bono Regional Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has lauded the Business and Employment Assistance Programme, an initiative of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and commended the government for such as a programme.
The Vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia launched the Programme which sought to create jobs for 20,000 young people nationwide, by supporting and empowering Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs) to employ the youth.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani, Mr Adjei said the nation required such innovative policies and programmes to tackle the rising youth unemployment in the country.
However, the NDC communicator expressed the hope, the implementation of the programme and selection of beneficiaries would be devoid of political considerations, interest and interest and biases for every deserving Ghanaian youth to derive the optimum benefit.
“With such a programme in place, the system must be there for everybody. I am a Ghanaian and I am happy, but they must ensure the Ghanaian youth feel the reality and not like one of their cosmetic policies,” Mr Adjei stated.
Notwithstanding, he indicated the national youth unemployment situation stood at about 12 percent and was worrying, saying “This is why the nation requires the implementation of the proposed NDC 24-hour economy” to create more jobs for the people.
He emphasised the proposed 24-hour economy by former President John Dramani Mahama, the Election 2024 flagbearer of the NDC had the potential and held the key to turn around the nation’s economic fortunes.
“We are bringing a full package on the 24-hour economy to create an enabling environment for the private sector to grow”, he stated, and called on Ghanaians to accept and support its implementation by voting for the NDC to win political power in the Election 2024.
Mr Adjei emphasized voting for the NDC to regain power in the next General Election remained the surest way Ghanaians could witness remarkable improvement in their socio-economic lives.
NDC lauds gov’t job initiative, hopes selection is devoid of partisan considerations
Government creates jobs for 2.1 million people within seven years-Vice President
The government has recruited 2.1 million people into jobs, both in the private and public sectors, in the past seven years, the Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has said.
In a breakdown, the Vice President said the public sector had engaged 1.2 million people, with the private sector absorbing 975,000 people.
Alhaji Dr Bawumia disclosed this when he launched the Business and Employment Assistance Programme, an initiative of the Youth and Employment Agency (YEA) that sought to create jobs for 20,000 young people nationwide.
“No government in the fourth republic or in the history of this country has been able to recruit this large number of people,” stated.
Under the implementation of the flagship programme, YEA would provide up to GHC500 grant support to 10,000 registered Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs) to empower them to create opportunities and engage more of the youth in their workplaces.
Notwithstanding, Alhaji Dr Bawumia said there was still a large number of youths in the country who required jobs, saying, “We have a big job to create more jobs for the young people”.
Describing the Porgramme as a laudable initiative and a testament of the government’s focus on job creation, the Vice President commended the Board and management of the YEA and expressed the hope the youth would derive optimum benefit from the programme.
Alhaji Dr Bawumia said the launch of the programme, and other initiatives, demonstrated the government’s commitment to job creation, an effort that had resulted in the creation of more jobs than any government has ever done in the history of the country.
“Unemployment was a real problem, and we even had the unemployment graduate association. Our focus, therefore, was to improve job creation through the public and private sector,” the Vice President stated.
“I can say with all humility that no government in the history of the fourth Republic has done this, and this cannot be challenged. It is the fact,” Alhaji Dr Bawumia indicated, stressing “In spite of the unprecedented 1.2m jobs created more will be done to create more jobs for the Ghanaian youth due to the growing youth population of the country”.
The youth of the country, Alhaji Dr Bawumia explained remained the greatest resource, and “it is therefore collective duty to ensure that they are well positioned to make significant contributions to the economic development of our dear nation”.
Mr Kofi Baah Agyepong, the Chief Executive Officer of the YEA, explained the implementation of the programme, which would also benefit operators of car washing bays, chop bars, and provision stores as a step to salvage the unemployment situation in the country.
Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister, highlighted the government’s determination to create jobs for young people and called on the youth to engage in entrepreneurship and skills training to benefit from government programmes.
CAF Awards: Victor Osimhen crowned African Footballer of the Year
Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen has been adjudged the 2023 African Footballer of the Year at the prestigious Confederation of the African Football (CAF) Awards held in Rabat, Morocco.
The 24-year-old joined the long list as the fifth Nigerian to win the award after an impressive year with his club side, Napoli.
Osimhen enjoyed an impressive campaign with the Italian side after bagging 26 goals in the Serie A, breaking George Weah’s record as the highest-scoring African in the Italian top flight.
He helped Napoli seal their first Serie A title in 33 years, having last won it in 1990, led by former Argentine international Diego Maradona.
The striker, following his sterling performance with the Italian side, with 33 goals and five assists in all competitions was ranked eighth in the just-ended Ballon d’Or.
He beat the likes of Mohammed Salah, and some other top talents as the highest-ranked African player in the 2023 Men’s Ballon d’Or.
Speaking at the ceremony, the 24-year-old expressed appreciation to all who contributed to his success story.
“It is a dream come true for me, thank you Emmanuel Adebayor for h your words of encouragement, Salomon Kalou and every African legend that I looked up to. I cannot forget Didier Drogba, my role model,” he added.
I will back Alan to be President – Alhaji Boniface
Alhaji Abubakar Saddique Boniface, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said that there is nothing to stop him from backing Alan Kyerematen to become the next President.
He expressed his excitement that he and other colleagues were not sacked from the NPP with disgrace, which had placed them better to work harder to achieve their aim.
He said if they were sacked for wrong doing as office holders they would have been worried saying, “We are happy about turn of events and we shall work hard to achieve the reason we were sacked”
He claimed that there were a lot of prominent people in the party protesting certain actions in silence and that such people would make Alan Kyerematen first Independent President of Ghana.
He said he had achieved a lot in his political career both as an Independent MP and as a member of the NPP and that he would not allow people in NPP to stop his vision of supporting Alan Kyerematen.
Alhaji Boniface who speaks publicly for the first time since he had been sacked from the NPP reaffirmed his decision to back Alan Kyerematen to victory.
Alhaji Boniface was speaking to the GNA in an interview over his sacking from the NPP for supporting Alan Kyerematen who resigned from the NPP to form a Movement.
He said politics was about numbers and that all his followers and sympathisers had also been technically sacked from the party and were ready to galvanise support to make Alan Kyerematen the next president.
“I am not worried that I’ve been sacked from the NPP. I’ve only been reminded to go back to my roots to work independently and I would do just that but those who think politics is not about numbers should tickle themselves and laugh”, he said.
“I first contested as an Independent candidate in Salaga where I defeated both NDC and NPP to represent the constituency in Parliament and NPP begged me to join them to get a numerical strength in Parliament”, he explained.
He said he also contested on the ticket of the NPP in 2004 in same constituency and won and moved to the Madina constituency to also win the seat for NPP, making him to follow Ken Dzirasah’s footsteps in achieving that in the fourth Republic.
He said by dint of hard work and humility, he was first appointed as Deputy minister of Trade and Industry and later reshuffled to then Ministry of Tourism and Modernisation of the Capital City as deputy.
He was appointed substantive Northern Regional Minister where he was instrumental in the burial of Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II and the enskinment of a regent, a feat making the NPP to chalk and bringing peace to Dagbon”.
He said he was also appointed minister of Labour and Manpower where he rolled out the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP), now Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
“I also worked as a minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing and such credentials can not be swept under the carpet.
What NPP is doing now, is not the same NPP I opted to join in 2001 as an Independent MP in Parliament. That is the reason me and many others opted to join the new Movement for Change”, he said.
“There is a saying that if the storm is blowing and stubborn trees fail or refuse to bow, will end up being uprooted”.
“I have served with distinction in five Ministries under former President Kufuor who I am highly indebted to and I will continue to worship him, who I am sure many Ghanaians have missed his style of governance”, he said.
“I have also worked in two Ministries under this government and all those who worked with me will testify, and such vast experience will be used to work for Alan”, he emphasized.
“I must also add that before joining mainstream politics, I had worked in the Ministry of Finance for 14 years and therefore paid my dues to Ghana and NPP”, he said.
He said he would note the date he was sacked from the NPP and celebrate it annually to serve as a reminder that his service to the party was not appreciated by some people.
On a flyer circulating on social media about him contesting in Madina on the ticket of the New Movement for Change, Alhaji Boniface asked the public to ignore the poster.
He explained that there were many high profile people both in NPP and NDC who lobbying to contest under the ticket of the Movement in various constituencies including Madina.
He appealed to all sympathisers of Mr Alan Kyerematen to unite, and draw more followers to vote for the Movement to form the next government in 2025.
Alhaji Abubakar Saddique Boniface is a political giant in the Fourth Republic having won in the Salaga constituency as an Independent candidate in the 2000 elections and won.
He also stood as Parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP in same constituency and won and was always referred to as “Political Maradona”.
Alhaji Boniface moved to the Madina constituency and contested on the ticket of the NPP and won, making him one of the few to have won in two different constituencies in two different regions in the fourth Republic.
Mahama will win any free, fair, credible election – Haruna Iddrisu
Mr Haruna Iddrisu, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tamale South Constituency, says Mr John Dramani Mahama, Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the 2024 general election on free, fair, and credible grounds.
He said if Ghanaians were to vote based on their current economic conditions and the state of the country, the NDC was convinced that Mr Mahama would win any free, fair, and credible elections in Ghana in 2024.
“If Ghanaians are to vote on the basis of the state of the country, the state of its institutions and the state of the suffering of the people of Ghana, Mr John Dramani Mahama will humble others,” he said.
Mr Iddrisu, a former Minority Leader in Parliament, was speaking at the inauguration of the Upper East Regional Women’s Wing Working Committee on the theme: “Effective mobilization of the women’s front.”
He said “2024 offers the NDC the best opportunity to recapture political power, and we all must endeavour to work to support John Dramani Mahama.”
The MP said Mr Mahama, a former Vice President and President, was more experienced in governance, and would be the right Candidate to make Ghana a better place for the citizenry.
He urged the Party to work and ensure that all 15 seats in the Region were captured for the NDC to form majority in Parliament to support Mr Mahama, who he said would be the next President, to implement policies to the benefit of the ordinary Ghanaian.
He said though there was clear indication that the NDC would win the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections, he cautioned the Party not to take the elections for granted.
Mr Iddrisu said the credibility and sustainability of their message was important, and called on all members of the NDC, especially its Communicators to trumpet the good messages and development projects undertaken by the Party in government over the years.
“The issues get forgotten too early,” he noted.
He called on the media to play its watchdog role, saying “You held NDC, John Mahama accountable, hold Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia accountable to their duties, pledges and failures.”
The MP for Pusiga, Madam Laadi Ayii Ayamba, who chaired the inaugural ceremony, said there was a need for the NDC to recapture power from the NPP with a clear majority in Parliament to implement its programmes and policies.
She said the current state of Parliament caused a lot of confusion for them, “I want to plead with you. Do not let us get equal numbers again. Let us fight to get better numbers in Parliament. The current numbers are giving us a lot of issues.”
Dr Hanna Louisa Bissiw, the National Women’s Organizer of the NDC, said the 2024 elections called for hard work, unity of purpose, vigilance, and uncompromising attitude devoid of any form of intimation.
According to her, the NPP government usually adopted all forms of unfair ways and means to rig elections, “Now we will stop them. They should not think that we are joking, they have taken us for a ride for far too long.”
Dr Bissiw urged all Women Organizers of the Party and their Deputies across the country to campaign in every nook and cranny of all the Constituencies to propagate the message of the NDC, especially the ‘24-hour economy’ policy of the Party.
NDC Group of Experts meet Ghana Federation of Labour
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Group of Experts, known as the LAB, has engaged the leadership of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL) on the modalities of the party’s proposed 24-hour economy, tagged as a “National Game Changer.”
Led by Professor Danso Boafo, they discussed the “24-hour economy, focus on reindustrialization, and job creation,” sought to share the NDC’s policy transformation agenda with players in the industrial sector, and offered stakeholders the opportunity to make an input into the party’s national development agenda.
The group also included Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, NDC Election 2020 Vice Presidential Candidate; Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, former Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection and some leading members of the NDC.
The two groups also discussed challenges facing workers, industry, and the general socio-economic crisis in which Ghana finds itself, while the NDC Expert Group used the opportunity to seek GFL’s views and inputs into the next NDC government’s proposed policies to transform the country.
The meeting deliberated on issues such as the current economic hardships occasioned by economic mismanagement, the effect of high taxes and utility bills on industries, and the consequential collapse of some companies and layoffs of workers.
The GFL applauded former President John Dramani Mahama, who is also the NDC flagbearer for Elections 2024, and the NDC’s proposed 24-hour economy policy.
The GFL also made proposals on how the policy can be implemented effectively to enhance productivity and create jobs for the benefit of Ghanaians.
The leadership of GFL emphasised the need to support distressed and collapsed industries under the 24-hour Economy Policy for job creation.
Both parties agreed to collaborate in exploring solutions to current socioeconomic challenges affecting workers and Ghanaians in general.
According to the GFL, the Ghanaian economy had ground to a halt, causing massive job losses because of systemic failures of economic policies.
”Extinction of trade unions is imminent if the current trend of reckless management of the fragile economy is not reversed and the manufacturing industries across all sectors of the economy (formal and informal, including business in byproducts) employ not less than 60 percent of the labour force in the country,” GFL stated.
During a presentation, Mr. Abraham Koomson, GFL Secretary General, noted that the 24-hour economy would boost the manufacturing industry through direct growth in the export economy, a reduction in the demand for foreign currency, and a stronger cedi forex relationship.
Mr. Koomson noted that it would also lead to an increase in employment and provide an attractive investment environment for foreign direct investment.
Speaking on policies for “Economic Transformation, Job Creation, and Workers’ Welfare,” the GFL Secretary General noted that the Agro industry apart from food production, served as a source of raw materials for the manufacturing industry.
Mr. Koomson noted that, looking at the state of the deteriorated economy, the revival of these industries could not happen overnight.
However, “with the commitment of the NDC as announced by former President Mahama, appropriate measures and interventions as suggested by the Federation should be considered.
“We will hasten the revival of industries across the country to create jobs to enhance the growth of the economy. Governments worldwide give a premium to the manufacturing industry because that is the growth cycle for the development agenda.
“The manufacturing industry can only grow and produce the expected added value if investors have the assurance of investment protection, growth, and uninterrupted continuity,” Mr. Koomson noted.
Mr. Koomson said “investments in land, plant, machinery, and related equipment for the comprehensive package of the manufacturing business required that the investment needed not less than an assured continuous operational period of 15 to 20 years to recoup, all other things being constant.
“The current piecemeal granting of zero VAT for locally manufactured textile products is as good as the uncertainty that characterises the investment in the industry.
“The government ought to promote investment assurance in the industry, which will also make the industry competitive. An uninterrupted relief period carries with it the assurance that every investor desires.
“The imposition of unhealthy and treacherous indirect taxes creates an unfavourable investment climate.”
He said the imposition of outrageous indirect taxes like excise and levies resulted in soaring prices of goods and services because such excise levies inflated the taxable base of goods. Even those consumed by the school going pre-teen and teen ages were not proofs of GDP growth but a destruction to the parental financial strength.
Mr. Koomson stressed that the recent expanded inclusion of certain products in the excise duty regime by the government was noticed to be killing productivity, resulting in the laying off workers and the closing down of factories because of extremely low sales in the face of higher production costs, amongst others.

Vice President Bawumia launches Programme to create jobs for 20,000 young people
The Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia on Monday launched the Business and Employment Assistance Programme, an initiative of the Youth and Employment Agency (YEA) that sought to create jobs for 20,000 young people nationwide.
Under the implementation of the flagship programme, YEA would provide up to GH¢500 grant support to 10,000 registered Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMSEs).
This is to empower the SMSEs to create opportunities and engage more of the youth to help tackle the rising unemployment rate in the country.
Alhaji Dr Bawumia explained the programme was a testament of the government’s focus on job creation, saying “our focus over the last seven years had been looking at different ways to create jobs for the people”.
Speaking at a ceremony in Sunyani, the Vice President stressed the government’s determination to create more jobs and make life better for the youth of the country which formed a chunk of the national population.
He said though the government was doing a lot, because about 73 per cent of the nation’s population was the youth below 35 years, more ought to be done to fetch them jobs.
The Vice President Alhaji Bawumia therefore commended the Board and management of the YEA for their commitment and innovations towards job creation and poverty reduction in the country.
Mr Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, also commended the Vice President for his commitment towards restructuring the YEA to make the Agency relevant in providing jobs for the people.
“Through the Vice President, everything we need to train our young people in trade are ready,” he stated and called on the teeming unemployed youth to take advantage of the numerous government socio-economic intervention programmes to build their lives.
Mr Kofi Baah Agyepong, the Chief Executive Officer of the YEA, explained the implementation of the programme, which would also benefit operators of car washing bays, chop bars, provision stores as a step to salvage the unemployment situation in the country.
Western Region Department of Agric taking steps to enhance sustainable agriculture
Mr John Kwamina Gyimah, the Western Regional Director of Agriculture, says the Department is putting in place pragmatic measures to promote an agricultural production that will attract the youth and investors to create a synergy for economic stability in the Region.
To that end, he said the Department had partnered with some private organizations to acquire about 3,000 acres of land as part of initial steps to make land acquisition easier for the youth and prospective farmers to venture into agricultural production.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, at Sekondi, he said the move was part of a sustainable agricultural legacy project that sought to alleviate poverty and hunger, and create employment through improved technologies, and innovative and efficient farming systems.
Mr Gyimah said the Department’s target was to promote an agricultural system that would leverage emerging technologies to enhance sustainability and increase yield to help cover the demand deficits in both crop and animal productions in the Region.
He said: “As the Regional Director of Agriculture, my aim is to leave a legacy that will benefit our people in both the medium and long term, and I believe that we have all the necessary resources to leverage sustainable agriculture to create wealth for the people, especially the youth.”
According to him: “We have spoken to leaders of some Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) who have bought into the idea, and some people have already shown interest in acquiring a portion of the land to venture into agriculture as a long-term investment.”
On how to build a strong domestic economy in the region with a focus on agriculture, the Western Regional Director of Agriculture indicated that there was the need for farmers to adopt modern methods of farming, establish dedicated markets in farming zones and implement stringent mechanisms to deal with post-harvest loses.
Explaining why farmers did not have access to enough financial support, Mr Gyimah said, “Risks associated with farming such as unpredictable weather conditions, soil factors, inadequate plant nutrition, diseases which affects yield, cash flow and also production periods may not be in consonance with loan recoveries of traditional financial facilities.”
He also attributed the problem to other factors like shared cropping, land litigation and illegal mining activities, saying all these affected farmers’ potential to attract legitimate financial facilities for increased production.
He, therefore, advised farmers to establish proper records of their cash flow with recognized financial institutions, have appropriate valuation of their farming venture, including equipment, implements, production acreages, status of yield values, staff expertise, land ownership and tenure.
That, Mr Gyimah noted, would help farmers to attract the needed financial support to spur their businesses.
He also appealed to financial institutions to engage the farmers extensively and equip them with some level of agro-expertise and economic management skills to help broaden their knowledge on how to access credit facilities to expand their productions.
ARB Apex Bank commends BUCO Bank’s performance
Mr Mark Odoi Adjei, Head of Banking Operations at ARB Apex Bank PLC, says the Bank is pleased with the performance of the Builsa Community (BUCO) Bank in the Builsa North Municipality of the Upper East Region.
“We have reviewed the financial performance of the bank and wish to state that we are generally pleased with the performance for the period under review.
“ARB Apex Bank is pleased with the 19.26 percentage increase in the profit before tax from GHȻ1.10 million in 2021 to GHȻ1.32million in 2022,” he said.
Mr Adjei who addressed the 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bank in Sandema, the Municipal capital, for the period ending year 2022, added that, “We are also happy with all the positive key performance indicators of the bank for the period under review.”
He said the ARB Apex Bank was further excited about “The good progress the Bank has made as a result of which the Directors have proposed payment of GHȻ0.0245pesewas per share, amounting to GHȻ351,903.00 in dividend to esteem shareholders of the Bank pending regulatory clearance.”
The Head of Banking Operations urged the Directors and Management team to keep up the good work and push harder to implement a more aggressive and forward-looking credit output programme in the communities.
He said a few banks in the country among ranked from one to ten, were able to declare dividends, but the BUCO Bank, which was among the ten best Banks in the country, always declared dividends amidst all the financial challenges.
“This makes BUCO Bank shareholders one of the fortunate ones in the industry because a multiplicity of factors has conspired against the payment of dividends by most Rural and Community Banks in the country.
“This shows that with the right support by shareholders, the Bank can perform better and declare other payments,” he said.
Mr Adjei said the ARB Apex Bank was happy that the BUCO Bank consciously committed resources to corporate social responsibilities every year, as it spent GHȻ41, 100.00 in the areas of education, agriculture, healthcare, culture, sports and the environment in 2022.
He said corporate social responsibility investment was the most tangible way members of the community would remember the Bank for, and not profits declared, nor the dividends made to shareholders after AGMs.
Mr Adjei congratulated the Management of the Bank and its shareholders for a successful 23rd AGM,and said the 2022 financial year performance would serve as benchmark for more impressive results for next year.
Mrs Akanbangbiem Agamu Asokea, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the BUCO Bank, in a report delivered on her behalf, said as at the end of the year under review, the Bank was rated strong by the Efficiency Monitoring Unit (EMU) of the ARB Apex Bank PLC.
She said the Bank occupied the tenth position in the league of 147 Rural and Community Banks as against its fourth position in 2021, “This was due to the worsening of the Bank’s Non-Performing Loans.
“I will urge all our borrowing customers to pay their loans on time, so as to improve our position in the league of Rural Banks in Ghana,” she said.
Madam Vida Akantagriwen Anaab, Municipal Chief Executive for the area, in a speech read on her behalf, acknowledged the pivotal role BUCO bank played in transforming lives of rural dwellers in areas of poverty reduction, economic empowerment among others in the Municipality.
She said government would continue to put in place measures to create appropriate enabling environment and regulatory framework to help promote vibrant and sustainable financial services, and commended BUCO Bank for living up to its corporate social responsibility.
Nana Frimpomaa remains Chair and Leader of CPP – Concerned NEC Members
Some concerned National Executive Council (NEC) members of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) say Nana Akosua Frimpomaa remains the Chair and Leader of the Party.
The Group said the formation of a purported Interim Council to oversee the affairs of the Party was “illegitimate” and a “clear breach of the CPP’s Constitution”.
Addressing a news conference in Accra, the Group said the Nana Frimpomaa has not resigned from her position like other National Executive Members of the Party and urged members of the CPP and the public to disregard her reported removal.
“I reiterate, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa remains the Chair and Leader of the CPP. Her firm stance against resigning was explicitly stated during the NEC meeting and recorded in the meeting’s minutes.
“Therefore, any claims suggesting her removal are baseless and hold no legitimacy within our Party’s framework,” Koo Mensah Frimpong, Greater Accra Regional Secretary, CPP, said.
The CPP’s General Secretary, National Organiser, National Youth Organiser, National Treasurer, and National Women’s Organiser are all reported to have resigned their positions following a NEC meeting held in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region on December 5, 2023.
It was initially reported that some members of the Party who participated in the meeting demanded the resignation of all the National Executive officers, accusing them of failing to “live up to expectation”.
It was subsequently announced that an “Interim Council” had been formed to replace the National Executive to steer the affairs of the Party.
Koo Frimpong told journalists on Monday that the said Interim Council was not recognised by the CPP as it breached the Party’s constitution.
“The CPP’s Constitution does not endorse or acknowledge anybody akin to ‘Interim Council’. Such creation is a direct violation of our constitution and stands as an affront to the principles upon which our Party was founded,” he said.
The Group called for disciplinary action against persons behind what they described as “blatant” disregard to the Party’s Constitution.
Nana Akosua Frimpomaa told journalists in Accra last week that she would not resign from her position and indicated that she would lead the Party to organise its structures from the polling station level and prepare for the 2024 General Election.
“The polling station elections will be done. We will choose our flag bearer and with the plan that we have, we are confident we will achieve our target of 6m votes,” she said.
