Nigeria expects a tough competition from Ghana in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers

Date:

Nigeria Captain, Ahmed Musa says the Super Eagles are expecting a tough tie against Ghana in the 2022 World Cup play-offs.

The first leg of the play-offs will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday before the second leg in Nigeria, four days later.

Despite Ghana having the better record against their West African counterparts, Musa is confident the Super Eagles can record a victory and qualify for the Global Showpiece.

“We know that this game is not going to be very easy, so we need all we have in the first game to see what we can get before returning to Nigeria for the second leg.” Musa said.

“I know that we will do our best to make Nigerians happy and proud,

“We said we wanted to win the AFCON but we had a setback, so the only thing we can do to make Nigerians proud is to qualify for the World Cup.”

The Nigerians are expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday ahead of the game on Friday.
